Big Pine United Methodist Church is a diverse congregation, a mixture of young and old from various cultural backgrounds.
What time does worship begin?
Our worship begins at 10:00 AM on Sunday mornings.
Do you stream your worship services?
No. We do not stream our worship services at this time.
What should I expect at worship?
Our worship service is a place where you are encouraged to seek how God is speaking specifically to you. Pastor Chris Sanders uses scripture and his message to connect with issues that we are facing in today’s society. To assist you in this journey, our worship will also include various music using traditional hymns, a celebration of the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month, and times for prayer.
Is childcare provided?
We welcome individuals of all ages, especially children! In lieu of childcare services, we invite all children to be present with us in the sanctuary and provide children bulletins for them.
What should I wear to worship?
We encourage you to come as you are and to dress comfortably. As we worship in the Florida Keys, shorts and sandals are the most common attire.
Will I be welcomed?
Big Pine United Methodist Church is open to people from all backgrounds and religious traditions. We welcome everyone, regardless of gender, race, class, age, ability, religious affiliation or sexual orientation, as beloved children of God.
