The practical stuff
Getting here
We are at 280 Key Deer Blvd. Coming from the Overseas Highway, take the first left into our parking lot. Coming from the north, take the second right into the lot, next to the church sign. Parking is free.
Directions in Google MapsPlease take Key Deer Boulevard slowly. The deer wander across it at all hours, graze the churchyard most mornings, and always have the right of way.
Walking in
When you arrive
A greeter will hand you a bulletin with the order of worship, prayer requests and a sermon guide. You are welcome to sit anywhere.

Before you come
Common questions
What should I wear?
Whatever you own. This is the Florida Keys, so shorts and sandals are the local uniform. If your Sunday best makes you comfortable, wear that instead.
Can I bring my kids?
Please do. Children stay in worship, where parents and children worship together as a family. A little noise is never a problem here.
May I take Communion?
Yes. In the United Methodist Church the Communion table is open to everyone, no exceptions. Christ invites all of us to the table, doubts and fears included, and nobody is turned away. We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month, on Christmas Eve, and on Easter Sunday. The pastor will hand you a piece of bread, and you are invited to lightly dip it in a cup of non-alcoholic grape juice. We aim to have a gluten-free bread option every time we serve Communion.
Will I be asked for money?
An offering plate passes during worship. Feel free to let it go by. You are our guest.
Can I watch from home instead?
Although the church is at its best when we are all together in a gathered community, we know that there are situations where people are unable to attend in person. We stream Sunday worship live on Facebook, and we save every service on our YouTube channel.
Will I be welcome here?
Yes. Whoever you are, wherever you come from, and whatever you believe this morning, there is a seat for you here and a place at the table.
Questions before you visit?
We are happy to help. Office hours are typically Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 1 PM. The office is closed on federal holidays, and when a holiday falls on a weekend, on the weekday it is observed. If the pastor is out, call or email and Pastor Rushing will get back to you as soon as possible.
